Volunteer Work

When I'm not working in marketing and operations for the corporate world, my time is devoted to volunteering for local Chicago-based organizations.

For five years I served as the Volunteer Coordinator and Board Member for One Tail at a Time (OTAT), an all-breed dog rescue committed to lowering the euthanasia rate in Chicago.

As a working board member I developed an Adoption Center guide and handbook, and assisted with onboarding new volunteers into the organization. When OTAT hired its first full-time employees, I was integral in developing all HR policies and practices, including employee reviews and salary caps.

I’ve also focused my time and energy with The Birthday Party Project, an organization that brings birthday parties (and so much JOY!) to kids living in homeless and transitional facilities.
